APARTMENT BUILDING

This proposal is for a new apartment building located on a prominent road in the World Heritage Site of Bath.

It adopts a simple classical language and local materials that are designed to sit comfortably with the late Victorian and Edwardian Bath stone residential buildings in the area.

​

The ground floor contains parking which both optimises the available space on site, and also lifts the residential accommodation above the busy street level and out of the flood plane.

​

Ten apartments are provided.  All are designed to Lifetime Homes / Accessible and Adaptable [Part M 4(2)] standards.

The walls will be constructed in Bath stone ashlar, the roofs clad in natural slate, and the windows will be in grey powder coated aluminium.
